Professional maps in 2 steps

The TopoNavigator4Pro special edition is addressed to TopoNavigator4 users who want to create aesthetically integral and easily readable maps of professional quality. All extra functions included in TopoNavigator4Pro were developed through a two-year evolution and close collaboration with many corporations, such as travel editions, advertising companies and scientific organizations

Along with all the extended possibilities of TopoNavigator normal edition, Pro version also includes a series of tools and settings, aiming to pass the control of the informationΆs density to the user and to make custom symbolizing much easier. Furthermore, it is now possible to create a map image file that contains an even better label placement than the automatic one, so as to obtain a more readable result at regions or scales with rather dense information. This image can be imported in other cartography, or design software (e.g. ArcGIS, AutoCAD, CorelDraw or Illustrator) and, along with some vector layers imported from TopoNavigator4Pro, serve as a base map for more advanced map products.

TopoNavigator4Pro is activated by using a special license on a normal TopoNavigator4 setup, which costs 350€ over the TopoNavigator4 normal price (350€). Some of TopoNavigator4Pro extended functions are:

CARTOGRAPHY

1. Adjustment of the information density (detail) independently for each one of the information layers included in the legend. For example, in the same map shown at a scale of 1:100.000, which corresponds to level 5 information, can coexist level 6 Settlement and Road Network layers, level 4 Place Names, Roadside and Countryside POIs layers, and level 3 Administration Borders and Protected Areas layers.
2. Definition of font size for each settlements category, as well as for other types of place names. Settings can be saved. Reset of default settings available.
3. Three pre-defined and 1 user-defined symbol palettes for the road network. User-defined palette settings can be stored.
4. Adjustment of symbols for settlements, land, sea, protected areas, etc.
5. Bilingual display of all map labels.
6. Multiple choice for the mileage display: normal mileage, no mileage, less mileage (up to 3 levels under active road network layer level), minimum mileage length definition, rounding at a selected digit.
7. Alteration of all parameters of any point map element (church, spring, traffic light, tolls, etc.): name, position, symbol, etc.
8. Advanced label placement and point symbol automatic displacement, resulting to a more readable map and avoiding overlapping elements at a given scale.

DATA MANAGEMENT

1. Extended data editing functions.
2. Map images export (georeferenced or not) without the “ANAVASI” watermark. Georeferenced map images export with accompanying information for importing to AutoCad.
3. Waypoints, tracks and polygons select by attributes by using multiple operators. Composite field update for selected records.
4. Conversion of a navigation itinerary to vector data (dxf, shapefile, gpx, etc.) and import it to other map composition applications. The file will contain an editable unique line composed of all road segments of the itinerary.

GPS MAP

Tracks can be defined as “Suggested routes”: navigation lines of different vehicle profiles and other parameters, as well as simple tracks, can be assigned as Suggested Routes and sent to a Garmin GPS through “User map”.
