GEOGRAPHY

The most comprehensive geographical database for Greece is now available for PC, with TOPONAVIGATOR 4. The base map, created from scratch in the Greek Geodetic Reference System (GGRS87), includes a detailed coastline, 100 meter-interval contours, a comprehensive hydrographical network, shaded relief images of a 20 m cell size and integrated DEM of a 100 m cell size.

The country’s administrative division is depicted with the regional, prefectural and municipal borders.

The road data include a comprehensive and up-to-date road network classified into 17 categories based on connectivity and accessibility criteria: more than 280.000 km of roads, varying from urban roads to 4X4-accessed unpaved roads, as well as the urban network of all Greek cities and Istanbul, Turkey.

The settlement network is consisted of 23.470 settlements. The basic information is supplemented by 45.000 place names, as well as a variety of Points of Interest (POIs): 1.480 marine points of interest, 1.700 monuments and archaeological sites, 34.000 monasteries and churches, 10.000 services and infrastructures, 6.200 car service areas, 3.000 beaches, 9.000 roadside and 56.000 countryside points of interest.
